Indian guide to "Transnistria" - A Country that doesn't exist

  A tiny land-locked self-proclaimed country between Ukraine and Moldova called Transnistria. Never heard of it? It's Ok. Technically, it doesn't exist. The only way into this country is through Moldova or Ukraine. It was 2 hours drive by Marshrutka (mini van) from Chisinau (capital of Moldova) to Tiraspol (capital of Transnistria). At the Transnistria border, you’ll get a free 10 hr transit visa. Picture from the inside of the Marshrutka which is a 2o seat mini van - It cost 65 MDL/ 270 INR, one way from Chisinau to Tiraspol The border guards will scan your passport and give you a migration card (one in the picture). This piece of paper has your details and the exact time your visa expires. Transnistria is often referred as a county of soviet relics. Entry formalities for Indians (aka E-Visa arrival in Azerbaijan)

This post talks about the actual entry itself to the Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport for  Indian ordinary passport holders .   Background On enquiring you many find that Indians supposedly get e-visa entry to Azerbaijan, it may sound complex but everything is smooth when you plan your trip correctly. Just like any other traveler, I too was worried about the entry requirements for Indian citizens to Azerbaijan. Having read many of the horror stories online, I did spend much of my time planning for trip, collecting as much pre-hand information I could. There was a post online which said Azerbaijan is 2 nd on the list for deporting Indians from Heydar Aliyev International Airport. I constantly had nightmares on what if this happens to me? Will the border control staff let me explain my point, or just be cold towards me?  Anyway I booked my tickets from 26 th March 2018 to 9 th April 2018, hotels too and then waited for the big day to board my flight.
